Bazaruto Island | Project Papinha - a reality
Attendance at the Sitone School in the north of Bazaruto Island has always been a serious problem. Living on an island where practically the only subsistence and commercial activity is fishing, the Bazaruto children do not understand that the school can give them other opportunities and broad horizons.
A few years ago, the NGO SIM began to distribute a small daily snack to these children, which increased attendance exponentially.
Since 2016 we have managed to offer a hot meal to Sitone students every day. The project has been a success.
In this way, absenteeism continues to decrease and we contribute not only to the physical development of these children, but we also keep the doors open for a future with more choices!
To all who help us achieve this goal, our deepest thanks!
